Ian is the Legal Operations Director at Herbert Smith Freehills. He leads a global function of 60 people encompassing Legal Project Management, Pricing, Legal Process Design, Automation, Innovation & Technology and Efficiency activities with teams in Hong Kong, London, Melbourne, Singapore and Sydney. These teams support the firm and clients directly to accelerate change, design new ways of working and enable people through data, process and technology. Prior to the is Ian was the Pricing Director at the firm.
He has worked for Herbert Smith Freehills for ten years and prior to this Ian worked for Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer for four years. He earned his BSc in Economics and Finance from the University of York and is also a Certified Pricing Professional with the Professional Pricing Society.
