Creating a Culture of Collaboration: Discovering how to work generatively with others in order to thrive in a complex world

How do we set up teams which can create new ways of working?

Collaboration is essential in a complex world. We need diverse teams in order to get past assumptions and sameness, and break new ground. A willingness to value and work with those who have differing expertise, experience and behavioural approaches is essential.

Not everyone will be good at everything; With everyone playing their part positive change is possible. We need colleagues to understand what behavioural strengths they bring to the table, so that they can contribute effectively and connect with others where necessary, for example, to empathise with client experience, be creative and open-minded in order to generate innovative ideas, and be able to take a systematic approach to the testing and execution of new approaches.

In this workshop we will be using behavioural and design-thinking models to identify the strengths and abilities which many professionals working in law firms already possess and which, given the right opportunities, can support innovation. What tools and resources are needed, especially as we work in a hybrid world?

Whether your firm is just starting to engage with innovation, or has a proven track record of effective change, we will help you work out how to encourage colleagues to engage and contribute. We will work on some practical activities which will put you on track to creating change in ways that make sense to you and your clients.

What we will deliver?

  • Practical ways to identify and engage colleagues with their innovation strengths
  •  Help to make the case for collaboration including understanding the value of diversity of thought and experience
  •  Evidence to support the value of developing future-facing skills today
