Sam Dixon is a Partner and Chief Innovation Officer at Womble Bond Dickinson UK. He is responsible for driving the firm’s innovation strategy and for creating a culture which encourages ideas and facilitates their implementation. He leads the firm’s Innovation & Legal Technology Team and chairs both its UK AI steering group and its Transatlantic Technology Group. Under his leadership, the firm has been shortlisted in the Financial Times Innovative Lawyer Awards for its strategic approach to innovation and for its innovation in Generative AI Tools. Recently, Womble Bond Dickinson became the first UK firm to sign up to deploy Thomson Reuters’ CoCounsel to all of its lawyers.
He is a qualified lawyer with 15 years’ experience of advising clients on restructuring and insolvency issues in all roles from Trainee to Partner. This practical experience, coupled with a longstanding interest in technology and process improvement, helps him to shape innovations which deliver actual benefits for colleagues and clients alike.
Now an elected member of the firm’s Management Board, he is excited to apply what he learned on the Oxford Artificial Intelligence Programme and the PowerMBA in working alongside clients, colleagues and suppliers to shape the future of the profession.
