Formerly Group HR Director at Oxford University Press, Johanna is now one of the few female CEOs in the data and technology industry. She launched FabricShift (previously In Diverse Company) in 2019 out of a strong belief that there was a better way to create and measure inclusive cultures that drive business performance, innovation and productivity. Her vision for the offerings provided at IDC to organisations across the globe fuses behavioural psychology, ground-breaking data science and social leadership to enable Growth Through Inclusion. FabricShift focuses on helping leaders create inclusive cultures and understand that differences enhance decision-making and improve company performance.

Johanna holds an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Nottingham University and an MBA from Oxford University. She has worked and lived in China and spent considerable time working in the USA, South America, Africa, and the Middle East. This experience gives her an innate understanding of different cultural work practices and leadership styles. She has a track record of working with senior executives from various industries and has successfully helped organisations get the most from diverse perspectives. Fostering a strong passion for sustainability, Johanna currently sits on the Board of Sostratus Energy, an energy technology company. She is also a member of the ED&I Advisory Group at International Business and Diplomatic Exchange (IBDE). In 2020-2022, Johanna was part of the advisory panel for the UK government’s Commission of Race and Ethnic Disparities and contributed to the report they published in 2021.

Johanna is a passionate CEO and an empathetic leader who is committed to supporting flexible working for all. She advocates helping people return to the workplace after periods of absence—whether due to becoming a parent, physical or mental illness, or taking a career break.
